For your information, the Vision Youth is a Youth Leadership Training Program organized by Lau Kin Man, Eric Li (Polly and Mabel's brother)and Polly Li .
Ken and Mabel started a youth leadership porgram called Youth Leadership Millennium started in 1998.
Both porgrams were about 8 months long include the following area:
Personal development;
Duke of Edinburgh's Award
St John Embulance - First Aid
Expedition -
Social Awareness,
Drugs, Provety, Volunteer Services, etc
Road Safety,
Political Awareness and Public Affairs;
(Ken suggests Akin to add the Topic- Public
Affairs in Akin's Program)
Meeting politicians, social problems and
solutions, political system in Canada.
Career Development;
Guest Speakers from various professions like
journalism, social worker, IT, Canadian
Military Officer, etc ( We exclude Medical
Doctors, Lawyers, etc. We have too many of
these in our Chinese community)
Communication and Public Speaking;
Toast Master
Social Project.
Each group have to design and complete a
social service project.
In Vancouver, we have full-time staff and 20 volunteers to help out. Over a hundred youth aged from 14 - 25 completed each year in the last four years. The organization is called S.U.C.C.E.S.S.

In Toronto, they started in 2001, all are volunteers. the program is a very succesfull one.

borrow it from her. I will read that book first,
later on, if you don't mind, can i have an

This picture was taken in Summer. The trial was still covered by snow.
Background is the peak of Diamond Head one and half hour driving north from Vancouver.
Our elevation was about 6-7000 feet.
Temperature was about 5C - 9C above zero at daytime.
