To organise the Trek Camp in Autumn is not a good advice.Besides.we should give all have a chance to work with the community not to be anyone's apprentice.I suggest to start the Trek Camp 2006 right now and let the youner geneation be the leader.
Dear Albert, my respectful mentor, I did not set any time limit on Treck Camp 06, nor appointed any person in charge. Here I just rise a discussion here, actually, I just doubt that I may only recieve response from you, and hear no other voice or noice. We have to admit that Akin is in a very low and weak atmosphere, who dares or willing to stand out. Where have all the people gone?

Dear Everyone,
There is something I would like to share with everyone.
1. Firstly, the Akin Leadership Course and Trek Camp in the last 30 years had developed a lot of good leaders and good citizens.
2. There is no pressure to anyone to take the lead of run a ‘Trek Camp’.
3. A program exists only when there is a need or reason.
4. So someone can scratch the ‘Trek Camp’ and start another ‘X event’ which is fun, meaningful, and needed.
5. The ‘X event can be outdoor oriented, leadership development, job interview skill or career development, business or investment, mentorship etc; or all of above. The new definition must come from the people who plan to work together.
6. Edman Lau in Toronto runs the Vision Youth Leadership and I run the Youth leadership Millennium Program. Both programs are run with many other volunteers. The key factor is to invite some other experts to take up the seminars and activities. So we are also learning new things as well.
7. Recognition, Appreciation and Empowerment are the key elements to draw strength. That is what Leadership about.
Appreciation and Recognition:
I would like to appreciate the Akin friends who went hiking and cooked food at Pak Sin Lin 4 years ago.
I thank the Akin friends who brought me to my first night-hike a Nam A Island. You probably can guess how many years ago!
For more recent events, I would like to thank Sam Wong to bring me to the Up-hill Escalator in Central District in HK Island and the Akin friends’ friendly hospitality while I was in Hong Kong last year.
In the same way of thinking, there are many people who followed you in the Trek Camp in the last so many years. They thank you and think of your mentorship. They cherish your efforts and contribution.
Run an Appreciation Night at Shatin. Let everyone to appreciate 3 persons and their stories. Watch some old photos and get a brain-storm session to get ideas.
2005年我是有力有心然而有點迷失的人
我在同社入面都幫左好幾年手trek camp
過程中有開心,有無耐,有辛苦
無論是做得好,做得唔好
都得不到贊賞,最多的可能是批評
有時批評也好,可以改善一下
往往人們只會懂得批評並沒有施以援手
不過有時真係知道自己做得唔好,亦都唔知道自己如何處理才
是最適當
感覺是無助的,結果得過且過就過去了
講真技術我沒有,領導才能我沒有,有的就只是心
自己曾經在trek camp裡面經歷過從未做過事
跟著不同性格的人合作,一起生活,感覺很新鮮,很特別
我覺得很值得推廣給其他人
縱然我完左之後技術沒有,但過程裡面所發生既事都令我懷念
每年trek camp過後,很少人繼續留係同社,
大家都會擔心唔知下年仲有無trek camp呢?
事實告訴我,雖然他們並沒有留在同社,但他們仍會繼績與
組員聯絡,繼續行山,繼續參加山野活動,
令我很安慰,覺得自己的付出是無白費

我最近參加在囚人士義工
的而且確好似你咁講,花的時間很多
但未必有回報
進出過好幾次了,坐車時間多,見面時間更少
做的就只可以宣傳機構的服務
重要的是他們要主動聯絡我們,我們位置很被動
這次服務令我大開眼界
見到好多不平事
令我有很多的反思
義務工作除了豐富我自己的生命
亦都見証生命影響生命

這兩天放假﹐TC2005好似有一半組員自己組了個Camp﹐細佬因有約﹐去唔到﹐十分可惜!下星期一佢地好似又去行山﹐好強呀!(希望我都去到啦)
我地都不斷裝備緊自己﹐希望TC2006有用得著我地的地方﹐TC2005正在進步中呀(雖然可能重係得半桶水)!
齊齊﹐不要放棄呀﹐只要有信心﹐願望可成真! :P
2006除o左Tee Shirt之外(順便講聲唔好意思, 上年咁遲至交稿), 有咩文書上用得著我o既地方可以搵我呀...

Last Week I was involved in the "Solar Project"by the Radio Hong Kong from DJ Mak Yun Sau from the Never-Give-Up-Alumni.Just like the previous years,which is a 3 days camp with the capacity of 160 form 5 - 7 studentsm 95% are girls who used to listened to the Radio from 9 to 12 midnight from Mak Yun Sau every Monday to Friday.Almost two thousand applications and only 160 will be selected by interview.July and August should be ideal time to run program for youngsters and should slect the not yet trained one.

1. Visit either Vancouver or Toronto to see our programs and meet our youth. So we can learn from each other.
2. Year-2 Toronto/Vancouver/HongKong Youth Leadership Exchange program (Summer time in Canada either in Vancouver or Toronto or both).

In Hong Kong,the Fast Food culture is built in the youths and got no vision and mission.Even in most of the youth organizations,the volunteers just doing their work and did.nt the reason behind.As for the Solar Project,it may be a target group for Akinalliance.For then previous years,the volunteers do select the most smart one as well as they all have a lot of outdoor skills.I trust that chance should be aimmed at the group of people who got nothing.
The RIMM will organize the Wilson Trail Event from 7 -9 October,2006.Last year the Akinalliance did organize the Check Point at Shing Mun Reservoir and we had Red Wine from Lam Chai Kwai and noddles.I suggest we may mobilize all the Trek Camp 2006 volunteers to involve as for Warm-up for better communication.
On Friday and Sat.I shall take up in the 30 Anner.Camp organized by the 1976 Army Leadership Training Camp campers at the Lantau Youth Hostel and let see the grown-up leaders after 30 years time.

I just watch the Trek Camp 2006 MTV. It is great.
We talked about ideas:
I think Akin's thirty some year journey has its success, and challenges.
We cannot let the flying wheel to slow down. JCK and Mui and all of you have made this flying wheel keep on turning. We need to add energy to keep the momentum and acceleration; otherwise the flying wheel will slow down and stop.
One factor is to get the right people and team player to come on the bus. Akin Alliance needs to develop new leaders and provide them opportunity to exercise their leading roles.
The continue direction of the Akin Alliance VALUES with new energy, style and solutions that fits the current needs.
Add new programs after the Trek Camp to develop the TC graduates. Ask community leaders and Akin’s senior members to come back to give workshops in public speaking, leadership, time management, career development, etc.
Workshop with positive discussions and inspirations to develop Akin Alliance new missions and programs that benefit members and members want to attend.
Organize an exchange program with Canada, either Vancouver or Toronto. I think such an exchange program will benefit all parties.
