我上年冇乜參與, 所以都唔知會有幾多分別.
不過相對學員來說,trek camp一定係新野.
攪trekcamp其中一個目的就係給與學一些有義思既經歷或体驗,而工作人員在這一目標上往往扮演關鍵角色,所以如果工作人員能夠多些參與事前準備就更佳...
在未來幾週我們都可能有大大小小既pre-trip活動舉行(詳情未定,本星期五,六或日會到西貢)如有興趣參與請call我(92510997)啦.一起來參與trek camp的製作吧

In the year of 1972,there were 10 akinalliance members took part in the Army Leadership camp by the Social Welfare Department.Then in the coming year,there was the first Akinalliance Leadership training and the placement was the trek Camp.In fact before the year of 1972 I was fully engauged inthe rock climbing,the Kiu Kit Club and assisting other youth groups of the S.W.D,the Eternity Club where I acted as Chief Instructor later I introduced it to Akinalliance.At the time should be track camp.

咁即係話, 當年應該係叫 track camp ?
track = (根據我本破壞的字典解釋) line or series of marks left by a vehicle, PERSON,, animal, etc.,
in passing along. (行人經過後留下的) 痕跡, 踪跡, 足跡.
trek = jorney of this kind; any long, hard journey. 長途旅行; 任何艱辛的長途旅行 (參考safari)
咁點解後來會用 trek camp 呢個英文名?
(是否意味著這個活動是一個艱辛的,長途的,陸地旅行的,野營方式的訓練?)
而中文叫 "衝勁營" ?
照咁睇, 我估當年應該包括左好多軍事訓練, 攀石, 紀律的野喎. 是嗎?
咁當年的trek camp 有無話想灌輸乜野精神或者信念比參加者?
Kent TUNG in Canada may response to the title of Trek Camp.At that time ,all the youth groups used to have Song Books that was Folk Songs,as I remember the song :The Happy Wonderer:along the mountain Trek.Stanley you can have a look at thePart one of the Akinalliance Report,may get information from Lau Yuk Pui.
Always wondered about the English name. At first it sounds pretty straight forward. We go trekking and camping in the mountains, hence Trek-camp!! But after joining there seems to be more to TC than just trekking and camping. Thanks for clearing it up!!
BTW, can I be a helper on the last three camps??? I will be back in HK by then.

In the Easter Holiday when I was involved in the Award for Young People assessment,I met Yeung Mei Ki coming down from Sunset Peak to Pak Kung Au.As Chan Shek Wah have a stone hut on the Sunset Peak that will be a ideal venue for sole and have the up-stream program organized in Lantau as I had organized a solo and night solo march for expedition instructors at Wong Kung Tin.

Trek Camp is the name. It is a brand name and has its image.
How is the 'Trek Camp' going to be, is up to the evolution of the needs of the group of people.
The objectives will stay: Meet new friends; have fun while learning new skills, develop human skills while serving others, etc. (Feel free to add.)
With all these elements, you may tailor the events to fit the needs.
It is important to position the ‘Trek Camp’ among the other summer programs. So it has its own uniqueness and special profile.
If the program is carry out in outdoor (no more wilderness in Hong Kong !?) then ‘Trek Camp’ fits the theme.

What will you consider if seting up a Fund to promote and support Terk Camp to somewhere it should stand？
I did not smile much before I had joined TC1983,my wife Mandy keep telling me that whenever we went though our album and a friend in Akinalliance remind me that yesterday. It is true and for sure that Trek Camp ignite the fire of our youth to certain extent.
If we can raise fund for 沙田人生農場 to become 沙田小屋.
Why don't we do some more ? Will there be some fit back on that from anyone?

Money is one of the resources that Akin needs.
Money; Equipment; Materials come after a good profile is build up.
Profile build by People; Talent; Care Giving and Leadership.
Supports come when people care.
Akin Alliance must shine its objective – ‘Caring and Sharing’ from time to time.

If money is needed, do something, right?
What are you suggesting ? A good proposal?
Now a day, a good product won't sell by just lying on the shelf.
Staying in the direction now, the good profile might get drown.
Today,me Poon Shuk Fan and Lau Yuk Pui were having a cleaning party at the Akinalliance Hut at Shatin preparing for the coming og the Trek Camp 2004.Caring and sharing,as for the safety at the rocking climbing,I used to advise those on the rock must be tied on,yet the younger generation normally don't have that in mind.When there was nothing happened,they assumed it was safe.I suggest that this year,the Trek Camp appointed the Safety Officer other than those rock climbing instructors.The Shek O tradey.
Raymond: glady accept, let's not make it too easy for them this time!!! heh heh
Too bad I am not back earlier. I would have liked to help out on more camps and maybe do some organising work. Unfortunately my work contract in Japan doesn't end until early August.

Hi Adams,
HK is a very commercialized city. Just ask people or company for money is not that simple.
But if people see Akin provides a good course for young people, they may not need for commercial returns.
May be it is easier to get some Lions Club or Rotary Club to sponsor the Trek Camp funding. Akin Alliance never asked for this kind of funding before.
I think it is ok to provide some photo-op (opportunities) for those organizations for partnership/sponsorship.
Any suggestions?
In Vancouver, the organization (www.success.bc.ca )that I involve always seek for commercial or government sponsorship.

I totally agreed with what You aware of, The awareness about the responsibility of our outdoor leaders are of worry. Accident will come knock the door, if not aware of it ,with no precaution .we might inviting it and not knowing it can be prevent.我最唔想見到TC追求刺激,變成吸毒一樣.我有時會停一停,諗下自己有冇好似二十零歲咁自以為是, ....Somone might think I am weird, but as aged members, we have the right to voice out when we aware of somthing and tell them we care of thier future not ours. it is not fun when you have to attent your buddies funeral and explain to their parent why it happen.
